Ocorrera um maior aumento do calado ( e maior duração) qnd uma embarcação ultrapassar a outra do que em relação as mesma embarcações se encontrarem em rumos oposto?
É isso mesmo?

Na ultrapassagem terá maior duração por causa da menor velocidade relativa, mas a intensidade deve ser menor, pelo mesmo motivo.

It seems proper for shiphandlers to assume the INCREASE IN DRAFT when ships overtake in a narrow channel is the same or greater as when ships meet and that it lasts for a longer period.
Squat, underkeel clearance, ship stability, speed, hull form, channel form, and all the other factors could cause a ship to ground in an otherwise safe channel.
